A Personal Message from Ena
I didn’t create this practice because I had all the answers.
I created it because I needed it.
Portals to Presence was born during a time of profound personal and collective upheaval. I had just become a mother. The world was changing rapidly. And I was walking through a level of anxiety and physical unraveling I hadn’t known before. The tools I had relied on for years suddenly weren’t enough.
What I needed wasn’t more information or philosophy.
I needed an anchor.
The breath became that anchor.
The body became my guide.
And presence became something I practiced moment by moment — not as an idea, but as a way of staying with myself when things felt uncertain, overwhelming, or raw.
This work grew out of that necessity. Not as a product, but as a living practice. A place to return to again and again — in each breath, in each moment, in community, and with intention.
Each month in Portals to Presence, we gather live to breathe, reflect, and practice together. Between gatherings, you’ll have access to guided meditations and seasonal teachings you can return to whenever you need support — simple practices for meeting yourself with compassion in the middle of your daily life.
This is a place to land.

Who is this practice for?
This isn’t for everyone. It is for people who are tired of pretending. It’s for people who want to be with what’s real, even when it’s messy, especially when it’s uncomfortable.

Portals to Presence is a place to practice remembering, especially when life is loud, confusing, painful, or tender.
Most of us don’t need more techniques. We need a place we can slow down, breathe, and be honest about what’s actually happening in our bodies and hearts. This practice isn’t about fixing yourself or becoming better at anything. It’s about staying close to your own experience instead of abandoning yourself when things get hard.
We work with the breath because it’s always here.
We listen to the body because it tells the truth.
And we practice presence because it’s the only place life is actually happening.
Each month we gather live to sit together in what’s real. Some days that’s calm. Some days it’s messy. All of it is welcome.
It’s a place where you don’t have to hold it all together, where you can show up tired, overwhelmed, uncertain, or open… and still belong.

The Inspiration for
Portals to Presence
Why This Exists
This isn’t a business plan. It’s a lifeline.
Portals to Presence was born in the early days of COVID, when fear was high, clarity was scarce, and my own nervous system was spiraling. I had just become a mother, and I was walking through perimenopause—an initiation no one had prepared me for. My body was shifting, my identity was unraveling, and the tools I had relied on for years suddenly weren’t enough.
I needed something real. Not just soothing words. Not just philosophy. I needed to feel my breath again. I needed to anchor in my body. I needed to remember myself in the middle of the mess. That’s what this practice gave me. It still does.
This membership is my way of walking alongside you—offering what has helped me, and creating a space where we don’t have to do it alone.

Evolving Through Challenges
- Life is full of challenges. How do we face them? Do we accept them for what they are or do we resist them?
- If we are caught in the resistance and judgment of what is arising, then the challenges of life will seem like a personal attack, we may feel like a victim or constantly feel disempowered and hopeless.
- The challenges of life do not come from the outside, they come from the inside.

- Our actions, words and thoughts are powerful forms of creativity
- Learning to not participate in the craziness of the world and begin to change the world beginning from within

Finding Freedom from Fear
- Fear diminishes our experience of life. When we practice awareness, we gently step outside of self-criticism, we transform negativity and radically change our response to fear with the power of presence.
- When I put my full attention on the inner energy field of the body, there is an invitation to step out of the grip of fear.
- I become aware that I am being taken over by fear, this awareness redirects my attention from thinking to the present moment.
- I awaken from a nightmare of suffering and experience freedom.

Making Peace with Uncertainty
- How do we embrace fear and uncertainty? Especially when the fear is acute and visceral?
- How can we respond to what is happening with loving presence instead of fear?
- We are here to bring compassion to what is arising within us.
- We are here to experience what is happening with the courage to open our hearts and be present to life as it is unfolding.
